Celebrated fashion imprint and record label Kitsune Music will once again showcase its wares this October with the release of Kitsune Maison Compilation 6.

This time around, it's being called "the melodic one," undoubtedly pointing to the fact that hooks rather than squelch are the most important elements of the tracks gathered here. Maison has been described as a "combination of what gets played in the Kitsune offices in Paris, what Gildas & Masaya [the label owners] spin at the few parties they deejay at and what stands out from the promising new contacts they pick up all over the world."

That latter part is an important piece of the puzzle, as Compilation 6 once again reaffirms the label's global reach with acts from Sweden, the United States, Australia, England and other far-off places. Notable names? Fischerspooner, Digitalism, A-Trak, autoKratz and a host of others that are sure to burn up the charts in some alternate universe where people actually still buy music.

Kitsune will release Kitsune Maison Compilation 6 in its physical format on October 27, 2008 and a week later to digital retailers.
